Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 registers new record participation from local and international industry players
  Posted on 21 Jan 2010
Saudi Oil & Gas 2010, a business-to-business networking trade exhibition, has recently concluded a highly successful four-day run at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre, facilitating SAR millions worth of new projects and business deals in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 revealed that the event’s impressive numbers in terms of participation and trade agreements reflect the enthusiasm and confidence of leading industry players to explore fresh business and investment opportunities as Saudi Arabia remains the most attractive growth destination in the oil and gas sector.
With more than 4500 qualified trade visitors and around 70 exhibitors from China, Germany, United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE and Iran, Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 has registered a record-breaking attendance that has resulted in a powerful, high-profile trading and marketing platform for the latest innovations, technologies, machineries, equipment and services in the oil and gas industry. The exhibition likewise hosted a number of workshops, seminars and other complementary programs that focused on a range of technical issues related to exploration, production, refining, drilling, pipes and fittings among others.
Mohammed Al Hussaini, Deputy General Manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, said: “We have received tremendous response from leading figures in the world of oil and gas. The high-level attendance from both exhibitors and visitors from all over the world manifests the continuing confidence of business organisations and investors in the long-term potential of Saudi Arabia as a key market and a prime investment destination. We
also witnessed a remarkably strong participation from Saudi companies, which is a very good indication of the excellent condition of the local business environment. Moreover, the successful conclusion of Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 once again underlines the critical importance of a dedicated networking and communications channel that will support the continued growth and development of the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region.”
Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 offered a total of 5000 square metres of exhibition space for exhibiting companies from a wide range of industry segments, including oil, gas and petrochemical mining, exploration, production and refining drilling, valves, pipes and fittings services, maintenance, safety and security storage and transportation. The event also served as an information gateway for international companies to better understand the country’s legislative framework and the business structure that defines the Saudi oil and gas sector.
