Qatar to create 5,200 financial sector jobs this year
  Posted on 2 Mar 2010
The number of people employed in the financial services sector in Qatar has increased by an average of 35 percent annually over the last four years, says a financial recruitment firm.

Doha’s financial sector is expected to create around 5,200 jobs this year, according to a report released by Kinsey Allen International, a financial recruitment firm. “This wave of job creation is being driven by the overall strength of the economy and the foreign money flooding into Qatar,” said James Bridgman, managing director of Kinsey Allen’s Middle East operations in a release.
The report says the number of people employed in the financial services sector in Qatar has increased by an average of 35 percent annually over the last four years. By the end of this year, about 20,100 people are forecast to be working in the sector, as compared to 6,200 in 2006, the report said.
